Dr. Jorge Blasco is a Lecturer and MSc Programme Director within the Information Security Group at Royal Holloway University of London, one of the UK’s Academic Centres of Excellence in Cyber Security Research. He obtained his PhD from University Carlos III of Madrid in 2012. His dissertation was focused in the field of information security and insider threats. In 2014, he moved to City University London, where he worked as a Research Fellow for two years in Android Security and Wearable Biometrics. He is an active Android and iOS app developer and has actively collaborated with Telefonica and Intel, among other companies, on research projects related to information security. His main research interests include mobile malware, covert channels, wearables and IoT network security.
